No. 5574 c. 1880s Ornate Brass/Metal Sewing Chatelaine: Attachments include (L to R) pin cushion, thimble bucket with brass thimble, wind up tape measure with silk tape (the tape numbers have been reinked at some stage), needlecase and scissors scabbard. All original and matching and in excellent condition. The plaque has a beautiful image of a Regency woman embossed on it. Price: $1650.00.

No. 5175 c. 1890 Scissors Chatelaine: Brass and silverplate ornate scabbard holds a dagger shaped pair of folding scissors. The swivel has the "DEPONIRT" (German) mark on one side. In excellent condition with some minor spotting. Approx 15.8cm long. Originally purchased from Nerylla Taunton this item is actually shown in her chatelaine book on page 166. Price: $575.00.

No. 5101 c.1900/1910 Sterling Silver Chatelaine Mirror: USA marked 925. Similar ones are pictured in Taunton's Chatelaine Book. A lovely flowing art nouveau pattern is engraved on the mirror back and handle - the mirror is in excellent condition. 7.5cm long. Price:$245.00.
No. 5082 HMSS Chester 1909 Chatelaine Compact or Patch Box: The hallmarks are impressed into the base on the inside of this beautiful antique box with mirror - the maker's mark is "CS & FS". It is engraved on the top and base and has a blank cartouche. It has a strong snap closure. The mirror is undamaged but has two small spots close to the edge otherwise it is in excellent condition. 5.2cm in diameter. SOLD
No. 4757 Antique Sterling Silver Sewing Chatelaine: Hallmarked sterling silver (Birmingham 1900). Makers mark "R.W.". This is a beautiful and complete sterling chatelaine with all original five appendages (LtoR: thimble bucket, notebook with ivory leaves, pin cushion, stamp or needlepacket case and pencil holder). The clip, swivels and attachments all carry the British sterling mark. There is a full set of marks on the thimble bucket. The individual links of the chain carry a cherub/head figure whilst the clip has a face surrounded by swirls of foliage. Each appendage has a roccoco stylised design with the larger appendages having a cherub figure or face. It is in beautiful condition with some minor wear to the pincushion fabric. The chatelaine is 27.5cm long. SOLD
No. 4756 c. 1890s English Silverplated Brass Chatelaine: Has three original appendages (LtoR: notebook with ivory leaves, pencil holder and a pincushion in book form) and chains/swivels for four more appendages. The main theme of the design is an all-over rich floral with a ladies head and bust forming gradated links down from the clip. The clip is surmounted with a pair of winged dragons or griffins. There is some wear to the silverplate so the brass does show through but it is fairly even across the piece. The chatelaine is 29 cm long. Price: $1450.00.
No. 859 Sterling Silver & Leather Spectacle Chatelaine: Hallmarked sterling silver (Birmingham 1901) leather bodied spectacle chatelaine with a front cover, chain and clip of sterling silver. Two sterling silver bands wrap around the back and a sterling rim wraps around the top of the case holding the silver in place. It has a blank cartouche with engraved swirls of foliage on the outer casing. The makers mark looks like J. Wilmot and it is 23.5cm long. The chatelaine came with a pair of steel rimmed spectacles which appear to be from the same period - there is a small chip to the glass in the upper side of the left lens. The mark on the lower left of the upper lens is a reflection. Otherwise excellent condition. Price: $795.00.
