No. 5814 c.1860 Glass Covered Souvenir Pin Wheel of Ramsgate Sands: This lovely pin wheel has a mirror on the reverse and "Ramsgate Sands" in script on the front. The picture looks to be hand painted but it is difficult to confirm this as it is under the glass. A velvet ribbon has been used to trim. 5cm in diameter it has had later pins added. There is some scratching to the mirror and some wear to the surface of the painting under the glass but otherwise in good condition. Price: $245.00.
No. 5811 c. 1850/60 Tartanware Pin Wheel: Using the "Royal Stewart" tartan this pin wheel is in very good condition with some small minor dents and scratches to the surface. Looks to have most of the original pins. 56mm in diameter. Price: $275.00
No. 5810 c. 1800/1820 Silk Pin Cushion with a Steel Engraving of a Troubadour: The sides consist of green silk with a gold silk on the reverse. There is some wear to hte top but given its age it is in very good condition. 7.5cm square and 1.3cm high. Price: $265.00.
No. 5483 c.1890/1900 Celluloid Apple Shaped Pin Cushion: This pincushion has very good colour and looks unused. It is in excellent condition and is 4.5cm high. Price: $225.00.
No. 5482 c. 1990s Sterling Chick Pin Cushion: This little pin cushion is 2.7cm high and carries London sterling import marks as well as the maker's mark for Ari D. Norman. In excellent unused condition. Price: $165.00.
No. 4314 c.1900/1910 Edwardian Silk Pin Cushion: With a basket of silk ribbon flowers embroidered on top - this pincushion appears unused and in excellent condition. 16.5cm long and 8.5cm wide. Price: 185.00.
No. 2380 c. 1870s/80s Mauchlineware Pin Wheel: Padded blue velvet is a little worn but no holes otherwise excellent condition. The transfer is of "The Marina St Leonards" with a plain reverse. 5cm wide. Price: $380.00.
No. 304 c. 1900/1920 Eastern European Woven Leather Pin Cushion: Shoe shaped with a woven cotton "sock", this pin cushion is in excellent used condition. 9cm long. Price: $85.00.
No. 2378 c.1860s/70s Souvenir Silk Beaded Pincushion: This pincushion has a silk woven stevengraph? of Emperor Franz Josef with his personal standard and the flag of the Austro-Hungarian Empire underneath. Firmly stuffed - probably sawdust. It has "Best" on one side and "Wishes" on the other picked out in pinned beads. Most likely a souvenir of his assumption of the Emperor's position for the British market. The silk has shattered over most of the pincushion but appears a stable ground for the beading. The Royal purple silk fringe is a little tatty but is all there. A large item - it is 24cm x 18cm. Price: $285.00.
No. 2694 c.1890/1900 Glass Beaded American Indian Pin Cushion: Hand beaded pin cushion - no beads missing but staining on plain blue fabric on underside - otherwise good condition. Shows a bird on a branch. 12.5cm square. Price: $395.00.
No. 1586 c. 1900/10 Crazy Velvet Pin Cushion: Stuffed with what feels like sawdust this pincushion has been stitched together using velvet and embossed velvet diamonds. It is backed on the base with a lovely metallic gold and dark blue jacquard. It is piped in a burgundy velvet edging. The diamonds are picked out by rows of pinned blue and white glass beads and gold sequins. In excellent condition with only a 1cm piece of the binding on one corner that has unravelled. 14.5cm x 15cm. Price: $365.00.
No. 2058 c. 1850s Silk Brocade Pin Cushion: Made to celebrate the birth of a baby - the design is picked out in original pins. The cushion is fringed has a 1 cm gusset (looks like a grosgrain ribbon) around the side and has a soft, firm padding. It measures 16.5cm x 12.5cm. A few pins are missing and it is a little discoloured but otherwise it is in very good condition. Price: $465.00.
