No. 4289 c. 1840s Memorial Sampler: Probably English or of American (English descent) origin, this memorial/mourning sampler is very unusual with a tapestry wool stitched berlin work style border and a tapestry wool and linen thread detail of willow and urn surmounted tomb. A verse above the picture is stitched in a black linen thread and the sampler has been made to commemorate a Joseph Plant who died aged 25 in 1842. It has a few small holes and some staining but it is still extremely striking. It is a large 58cm square inside the frame. This piece is for pick up or your own arranged freight carrier. No. 4290 c. 1914 Needlework Sampler: This "Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary" school sampler was stitched in Waterloo, Belgium and dated 1914. It is an alphabet/numeral sampler and has a greek key band and fancy centre detail. It is stitched in red linen/cotton thread on a linen ground. Mounted in an unglazed frame the sampler measures 56cm square. In has some light foxing but still presents well and is in otherwise very good condition. No. 3014 c.1859 Antique Needlework Sampler: Named "Sarah Ann Cartwright" and dated "1859", this alphabet sampler is stitched in linen/cotton thread on a linen ground. It contains a verse, alphabet, numerals and bird spot motifs. Faded, it also has a small loss of thread on the letter "x" but otherwise in very good condition.The interior dimensions are 19.5cm x 24.5cm. It has been mounted with museum standard conservation tape with an acid free mount and boards. The two mat boards are in different shades of cream and the modern frame is a medium coloured wood. Normal glass has been used. Price: $895.00.

No. 3213 c.1809 Antique Needlework Sampler: Named "Isabella Cowert born 1809", this sampler is stitched in linen/cotton thread on a linen ground. It contains an alphabet, numerals, verse and numerous spot motifs. It has two small holes which you can see in the photos, a little fading and discolouration. It needs to be noted that this sampler was mounted/adhered to a board when purchased (this can not be seen now but needs to be mentioned). It has been mounted with acid free mats (dark green and cream) and the modern frame is olive in colour with a thin gold line. Normal glass has been used. Interior dimensions are 30cm x 25cm.
