Scissors

No. 5446 c.1900/1910 Italian Sterling Scissors: The scissor bows carry the Italian hallmarks for Ancona (AN) plus another two marks I can not identify - 925 appears on both sides. The blades are marked "Toledo" on one side and "Drop Forged Steel Italy" on the other. The scissors are sharp and cut well and are 10.5cm long.  They are in very good used condition with some minor scratching to the blades. Price: $265.00.

No. 3758 c. 1800/1810 Georgian English Silver Scissors Sheath: Designed to protect the blades of the scissors - these sheaths are hard to find nowadays and are considered rare. It carries the maker's mark of Joseph Wilmot and has a blank cartouche.   Engraved with a very nice leaf and foliage design - there is a small dent on the back that is hard to see otherwise in excellent condition. The photo shows the back as I was trying to show the small dent   about half way down - the front is similar but with a small cartouche. 9cm long. Price: $295.00.
