No. 5813 c. 1896 Celluloid Advertising Card: Simulating faux tortoiseshell with gold embossing these cards are normally made of paper - this is the most unusual one I have even seen. Advertising "Arnold & Sons Tailors/Habit Makers in Hitchin UK this has the calendar for 1896 embossed on it. There has been some minor surface wear to the gold but otherwise in excellent condition.Price: $98.00.

No. 4254 c. 1880s Bone Tatting Shuttle: Tight points with a double brass rivetted post this shuttle is large at 9cm long. It is in excellent used condition. Price: $65.00.
No. 2993 c.1920s/30s Dyed Bone Tatting Shuttle: Tight points and double brass rivetted post this shuttle is 6.7cm long and in excellent used condition. Price: $68.00.
No. 2938 c. 1930s Bakelite Chalk Dispenser: This sturdy bakelite (tested) and brass chalk dispenser is 7cm high and in excellent used condition. You push down on the brass top and a spring opens the button at the base letting out some chalk. 6.5cm high. Price: $70.00.
No. 4263 c. 1830s Bone Waxer: The top and shaft unscrew so you could slide a piece of wax on that had a pre drilled hole. Probably English - it is in very good used condition. 2.4cm in diameter and 1cm high. Price: $125.00.
No. 4556 Georgian Ivory Thread Barrel: From a fitted workbox this little barrel has a hole in the side for the thread to feed out. It is in three parts: spindle, top and barrel. The barrel has some turned lines for decoration. The top has a crack and small gouge which can be seen in the photo otherwise this little piece is in very good used condition. A similar one is shown in Nerylla Taunton's book "Antique Needlework Tools & Embroideries". 3cm high. Price: $185.00.
No. 4918 Mid Victorian Ivory Thread Winder: Originally from a ladies fitted sewing box this thread winder has three compartments to wind your thread around and a nicely carved indent at top and bottom. It has a slit at the bottom to anchor your threads(difficult to see in the photo). In excellent condition with no chips or damage. The ivory grain can be clearly seen. It is 5.5 cm long. No. 4917 c.1890/1900 set of six wooden thread winders: A lovely set of six dark unstained wood (ebony? lignum vitae?) thread winders - utilitarian design - each with a slit to hold the thread end. In excellent condition each winder is 5.3cm long by 3cm high. Price for set: $265.00.
