No. 5853 Vintage Souvenir Tape Measure: Australian souvenir tape measure with an aboriginal motif c. 1950s. This has a metal tap with metric on one side and imperial on the other - the imperial side is worn but still deciferable. Otherwise in excellent condition with a silver coloured machine case and press button auto retract. The picture is under a clear celluloid cover. Price: $78.00
No. 5664 Vintage Tape Measure: Souvenir from the M.V. Troubridge - The Adelaide Steamship Company. It used to travel the route between Adelaide and Kangaroo Island and was built in Brisbane in the early 1960s. It is a metal tape in inches with some wear to the chrome on the front. The back is cut in a plain hex design. A piece of Australian Maritime History. 4.8cm in diameter. Price: $120.00
No. 5601 Victorian Vegetable Ivory and Bone Tape Measure with STANHOPE: The stanhop has four views of Lion s/Mer - the views are slightly skewed. The top of the knob is also ground down at an angle - not sure if this is damage or a manufacturing flaw - otherwise in very nice condition. The tape pulls out and winds up evenly and the tape is marked in cm. It is 4cm high. Price: $245.00
No. 5420 c. 1951 Singer Centenary Tape Measure: Dated 1951 on the enamelled copper and brass front plate - this tape measure was issued to commemorate the Singer centenary 1851-1951. The tape measure case is a dark blue heavy plastic and the tape measure, which is in inches and centimetres, is made of metal. In excellent used condition it is 4.4cm in diameter. Price: $195.00.
No. 5078 c. 1920s/30s "Pierrot" Porcelain Tape Measure: Made in Germany this tape measure has a sound spring mechanism with the tape in both inches and centimetres. It has its original pull and the tape is in very good condition with only minor fraying at the start. 6.5 cm high, Arbittier and Morphy classifiy this as a Value 5 (second rarest to find). No. 4517 c. 1880s Vegetable Ivory and Bone Tape Measure: The pink tape cloth is in inches and has a bone pull which looks to have been neatly reattached at some point (a while ago). The finial is also bone and may have housed a Stanhope at some point. The tape measure is pulled out and then wound up by twisting the barrel. 4cm high in very good condition. Price: $195.00.
No. 3018 c. 1930s Celluloid Fish Souvenir Tape Measure: Made in Japan this tape measure is in very good condition (with a small tear in the tape at the one inch mark and some wear to the writing) with its original pull. Spring mechanism. 8.5cm long. Wording reads: "I was caught at Spring Valley, N.Y.". Price: $165.00.
