Garment Production, Alterations and Sample Machining

I am located in Rostrevor, Eastern Adelaide and can provide a comprehensive garment production, alteration and sample machining service. Please note that I am now semi-retired, work from home and only take occasional full garment commissions. I am always happy to discuss theatrical, performance and dance, evening wear, special occasion or hard to fit clients but am not interested in working with bridal parties or making tutus. I am professionally qualified (garment and pattern making, fitting and clothing design), GST registered and am a fully insured business. I can take cash or bank deposit,  I charge by the hour and my costs are outlined below. As a result, I can not compete with online prices from overseas but rest assured that I can compete successfully in the areas of customer satisfaction, quality and fit. Referees can be provided on request.

As a very broad guideline - and subject to materials and fitting issues - simple lined gowns will start from around $900.00 and lined and fitted jackets from $800. So getting something custom made is not a cheap option, but you will end up with a quality garment that will last a long time with the right care. I only use the best threads and haberdashery and maintain logbooks for your viewing so I can accurately keep track of time spent on each item.

Charges

Alterations, Simple & Moderate Garments: $50.00/hr plus GST
Advanced Garments: $60.00/hr plus GST
Sample Machining, Patternmaking and Fitting: $60.00/hr plus GST
 

All garment orders include an initial free consultation and verbal quote – if a written quote is required it will cost $120.00 including GST (paid upfront) and is fully redeemable if you proceed with your order. Work on any garment will not commence until the work deposit has been received which acknowledges agreement of the contracted terms and conditions.

All fabrics and materials used in construction are subject to my prior approval. A Loyalty Discount applies for subsequent garment making orders. Changes or variations to the contract, made by the client after the original quote has been accepted may result in additional costs being charged. These will be discussed with you prior to work continuing.
 

Garment Decoration Service
 

Decoration including machine embroidery, Swarovksi hot fix crystals, embellishment etc: $45.00/hr plus GST 
Please note that I have over 80,000 Swarovski hot fix crystals in stock  and a large range of trims, beads and sequins - they are provided at cost if I do the work. They are available for sale at retail f you wish to apply them yourself.

I can also provide a hand embroidery service: $45.00/hour plus GST
I am proficient in most surface embroidery techniques including, general surface embroidery, cross stitch, gold work, bead and sequin work, felt embroidery and stumpwork. I have a large selection of cotton, silk, wool, linen and blended threads.
